What the application includes.
Families apply in Aryval Enroll, and the 2027-28 application opened September 28, 2026.
- Entry grades and open spaces
- Lakeside lists these spaces for 2027-28: Middle School grade 6, 60; grade 7, 5; grade 8, 2. Upper School grade 9, 70 to 75; grade 10, 6; grade 11, 2.
- Applications per space
- Lakeside typically receives seven to eight applications for every available space.
- Platform
- Families apply in Aryval Enroll. The family-completed forms are shared PSIS forms that other PSIS schools using Aryval can receive.
- Application fee
- The application fee is $25 and non-refundable. A fee waiver request form is available if the fee is a barrier.
- The parts
- The application includes a preliminary application form and fee, a student essay, an interests and activities form, a parent or guardian statement, school records, two teacher evaluations, a personal reference form, a school administrator form, test scores, and an interview (Upper School) or admissions activity (Middle School).
- Parent statement
- A PSIS parent or guardian statement is part of the application and is due by January 14, 2027.
- Teacher evaluations
- Lakeside requires two teacher evaluations: one from a humanities teacher (English, history or social studies) and one from a math or science teacher. At least one must be from a current teacher.
- Personal reference
- A personal reference form asks about the student's ability to work with others in a group setting, and a school administrator form provides information about attendance.
- Records
- Lakeside asks for the first complete report card from the current 2026-27 year and the full 2025-26 transcript or report card.
- Upper School interview
- All Upper School applicants interview with a member of the Lakeside faculty after the preliminary application is complete.
- Middle School activity
- Middle School applicants register for and attend an admissions activity after submitting the preliminary form. It takes the place of an interview, with no one-on-one or parent interview.
- Extra materials
- Lakeside does not accept or review supplementary materials and does not schedule private meetings with families.
- Deadline
- Completed applications for Middle and Upper School are due January 28, 2027.
- Decisions
